5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Can corrosion cause a disaster? Of course it can! In reality, explosion and corrosion is the same thing happening at different speeds.
To dive deeper into the question, we’ll have a look at what incident, emergency, disaster and crisis are by definition. From understanding these terms, we will move on to look at the mechanisms to prevent and mitigate the effects of them and bringing the system back to “business as usual”.
Finally, we can define the preventative efforts and measures to be put in place, to manage the negative effects, in the unlikely event of an asset failure due to corrosion. With a holistic approach to our clients’ asset management, we can advise them on not only how to prevent a failure due to corrosion, which is what you normally do, but also improve their capability for responding to an incident, potentially leading to an emergency, crisis or disaster.
