Brian Cherry Award (Victoria)
The Brian Cherry Award is open to post graduate and final year research students studying at a Victorian University. Applicants could be studying any aspect of corrosion, including but not limited to metallic and non-metallic corrosion, corrosion management, corrosion mitigation, and corrosion protection.
The award honours Professor Brian Cherry of Monash University for his significant contribution to corrosion education, consulting and the Australasian Corrosion Association Inc.
Taking part in the Forum provides students with the opportunity to present their corrosion related research work as well as showcase their talent to their peers and the Victorian Corrosion Industry – including potential employers. For more information click here
Reg Casling Award (South Australia)
The Reg Casling Award is open to all students undertaking an undergraduate degree or TAFE course where the subject of corrosion is the main focus of study. The award is granted for the best academic performance in South Australia. The recipient must be a current member of the ACA (student membership is included). The recipient must have also have demonstrated interest and involvement with the corrosion industry. This award does not need to be awarded every year.
The award honours Reg Casling for his significant contribution to corrosion education, consulting and the ACA.
