Fluid Film is a wool-wax based product line applied which work in the harsh environments of Marine, Underground Coal Mining and Western Navies.
Where most products contain between seventy and ninety percent solvent, FLUID FILM contains none except for its propellant, meaning long lasting lubrication and protection. With no solvent, FLUID FILM won’t evaporate or become sticky or gummy, allowing it to migrate to other areas for lubrication or protection. With its unique lanolin base, FLUID FILM will actually imbed itself in the pores of metal, resisting wash off and keeping moisture and oxygen from getting to the base metal.
Containing no solvent content, FLUID FILM lends itself to numerous applications where the comparative solvent-based products would not even be considered. In normal situations it is safe to come into contact with skin. Fluid Film is non-toxic, long lasting, and thixotropic liquids, that have been used for over fifty (50) years in the highly corrosive marine environment of ships and offshore drilling rigs. Fluid Film in various Grades is NSN Codified, and meets a number of MIL-SPEC’s
Fluid Film is used widely in Underground Mining Applications on Flame Proof Boxes to preserve the Machined Flamepath’s on Electrical Flameproof Boxes. NSW and QLD Mines department approved.
To complement Fluid Film we also supply Kirkpatrick Steel Wire Rope Lubricator to apply pressurised lubricant into steel wire ropes. This equipment has had the same name for 30 years, and is widely used in Industry and Naval Applications. It is also NSN Codified.
