To stay at the top of the field, corrosion professionals must be up-to-date on industry best practices and requirements. The NACE International Institute is no different. Our certification programs are constantly evaluated to ensure they deliver the credibility and value the industry has come to depend on.
In keeping with these practices, starting July 1, 2016, all written exams for the CIP 1 and 2 Certifications and CP1 Tester and CP2 Technician Certification will transition from paper testing format to Computer Based Testing (CBT).
Transitioning from paper to CBT will set NACE International credentials apart from other certifications by raising the standard of certification and providing flexible testing options for individuals and employers.
What does this mean for your certification exam?
After registering for the course and exam, students will receive an Authorization to test email from NACE Intentional and may schedule their multiple choice exam at any of Pearson VUE’s 5,000 testing centers worldwide. Preparing for the Exam
By separating the exam from the course, students can choose to take the exam immediately following completion of the course (depending on your chosen Pearson VUE testing centres appointment availability) or take additional time to study course materials and additional resources prior to the exam.
