  • Define the role protective coatings play in the prevention of CUI and outline the factors that need to be considered when selecting a coating for application under insulation
  • Identify the common types of coatings applied under insulation and describe their advantages and disadvantages
  • Outline the factors that need to be considered when selecting insulation
  • Describe the types of insulation and jacketing commonly used within CUI Protective Systems
  • Describe the different types of spray-on insulation and their advantages and disadvantages
  • Identify when passive fire protection is required and outline the steps to minimize the likelihood of corrosion under fireproofing occurring
  • Summarize the differences between intumescent coatings, high density concrete coatings and cementitious coatings
  • Explain common design practices used to minimize CUI
  • Outline the common steps involved in installing a CUI Protective System
  • Recognize common mistakes made during the application of insulation, jacketing, banding, vapor barriers and when sealing entry/exit points
  • Identify the key components of risk-based inspection programs and describe their benefits within a CUI context
  • Discuss the inspection methods that can be utilized with and without the removal of the CUI Protective System

If payment for registration is not received by above date your registration will be forfeited, and any monies sent after will be returned minus administrative fee of 10%.

HOW TO REGISTER & PAY

  1. First click on on the course you wish to register for.
  2. On the next page fill in all your personal and company details. All fields with * are required.
  3. Then click on down the bottom right of the page.
  4. Choose to pay by:
      • Credit Card: Immediate payment and your registration will be approved & secured.
      • Invoice: Generate an invoice and you can pay via bank/wire transfer (EFT).
      • Instalment Payment: Pay multi times, each time making part payments via bank/wire transfer (EFT).
      • Always use your invoice number whenever you make any payments.
  5. Click on to complete registration.
  6. On the next page you can download your receipt and invoice.

POST-REGISTRATION & NOTIFICATIONS

  • All courses require minimum students in order to run.
  • Your spot on the course IS NOT secure until payment is received.
  • Students who have not paid may get email reminders to pay.
  • All students who have paid and are approved on the course will get 2 types of notifications about the course, usually about a month before the course starts:
    • A “YELLOW” banner email stating that your registration is approved but the course is not yet confirmed due to various reasons such as it has not met the minimum student requirement.
    • A “GREEN” banner email stating that your registration is approved and the course is also confirmed to go ahead
